In the near future, a viral outbreak erupts within New York City that turns people into flesh eating monsters. The United States of America is forced into a lockdown as the government attempts to stop the spread of the Black Flu to unsuccessfully prevent a global pandemic. As the deadly virus sweeps through the nation, Daren Halsi is thrown into a spiraling nightmare of death and pure bloodcurdling horror. Daren was just a young adult woman attending her college classes in Washington when her mother calls her to return to her home state of West Virginia to watch her house so she could fly to New York to assist in the raging outbreak. When Daren arrives to take care of her childhood home, she’s thrusted into the darkness of night as the virus drives unchained looters and raiders to burn down her home and leave her with one option: move forward and get to safety while trying to avoid succumbing to the infection and becoming a zombie herself.
